Measuring 2.5 yards x 35” wide ... Authentic hand blocked silk screened batiked fabric from St. Barth in the French West Indies by Jean Yves-Froment. Signed on the selvage as shown. Probably from the late 1970s.
Exotic fish and sea kelp, sea anemone, star fish, turtle and other sea critters screen printed with a plain ground -- mottled screen printed shades of Rusty orange, rusty red-orange, peachy orange and splotches of bright yellow - fill in the background. Colors are matched as close as possible. Excellent condition - never laundered. Perfect for a pareo or hanging on the wall as a mural.
The last photo shows how all fabric orders leave my shop -- neatly pressed and folded, tied with ribbon, wrapped in vintage pattern paper and topped with vintage ephemera thank yous.
